Michael Oni
Founder, The Music & Media Sounding Board
Michael Oni is a seasoned and multi-faceted professional with deep roots in the music industry. Over the years, he has worn many hats — artist, manager, producer, A&R, consultant, and entrepreneur — giving him a unique 360° perspective on how music, rights, and revenue intersect. He founded
The Music & Media Sounding Board (TMMSB)
to support independent artists navigating the complex modern music landscape. What began as a resource for emerging talent has grown into a multi-dimensional service offering catalog deal support, rights and metadata management, and tech-forward solutions for artists, labels, and rights holders. Behind the scenes, Michael works with a diverse network of industry stakeholders — from major labels and artist managers to catalog funds and independent creatives. His collaborators have included names such as Oscar Gomez (Latin music legend), Syren Rivers, Jerry Brown, Basil Meade (London Gospel Choir), Evening Standard, The Therapist, SongVest, Mission Control, Urban Voice, House Gospel Choir, Arrow Benjamin among many others. Michael’s experience across both creative and business sectors has given him a sharp eye for the gaps — the often unseen areas where artists and labels are leaving money on the table. His mission is simple: To help music creators protect their sound, unlock their royalties, and grow their business.
